About Hoppy Pets
Independent, welfare-led and inspired by rescue rabbits
Hoppy Pets is an independent rabbit and guinea pig retailer founded by Amanda and Rob in 2022. After years of sharing our home with rescue rabbits, we knew how difficult it could be to find toys, forage and treats we genuinely felt confident offering them.
We created Hoppy Pets to make choosing safe, natural enrichment easier. Every product is carefully selected with welfare, quality and natural behaviours in mind—from foraging and chewing to exploring and keeping busy.
Today, our 11 rescue rabbits remain at the heart of the business. They inspire many of our ideas, enthusiastically test our products and make sure our standards remain extremely high.
What matters to us
Everything we do is guided by one simple question: would we be happy to offer this to our own animals? If the answer is no, it doesn’t belong at Hoppy Pets.
Welfare before trends
We never sell animals, and we don’t stock products simply because they are popular. Welfare, suitability and natural behaviour will always come first.
Supporting rescues
Through Buns Supporting Buns, fundraising and product donations, we help smaller UK rescues provide care, comfort and enrichment to animals in need.
Chosen with care
We look carefully at ingredients, materials and how each product will be used. We also describe products honestly, so you know exactly what you are buying.
Supporting better rabbit welfare
The UK’s rabbit rescues are under enormous pressure, with more rabbits being abandoned, surrendered or advertised for sale online.
Hoppy Pets is proud to support the Rabbit Welfare Association & Fund’s Breeding Amnesty and Adopt Don’t Shop campaigns. They are calling for stronger regulation of rabbit breeding, better welfare standards and greater support for rabbit rescues.
We believe rabbits should be understood, properly cared for and treated as the intelligent, social animals they are.
